About Me
I currently reside in Los Angeles California with my amazing trauma therapist wife and my 14 year old pup Linguine. I grew up in the Northern California beach town of Santa Cruz where I spent my childhood on the beach, in the redwoods, and being part of a pretty tight knit community of surf/skate culture. This culture was deeply "California" and there was good and bad that came with it. I struggled with addiction as did many of my closest cohort and thankfully I was able to seek help when I became powerless. Currently I have 16 years sober and work with alcoholics and addicts in all aspects of their journey. I work with newly sober people, people with a lot of sobriety time, non addicts, and people that are not ready to stop using. I meet you where you are, I don't believe that sobriety is a requirement to be met with compassion and empathy. And the fact that you aren't sober shouldn't be the barrier to getting help. I have a Bachelors degree in Fine Art from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and I have worked as a graphic designer for NFL.com and Viacom. I loved working as a designer but in 2019 I felt a greater need, to help others. I wanted to be the person to others that I felt I always needed.
I found an amazing program on Trauma and got certified as a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach. I learned an immense amount of information on how much past traumas affect almost every aspect of our waking lives and all the different ways/tools we can use to address our issues.
If you're struggling at all in your daily life, I'd love the chance to hear your story and maybe offer some ways to help.
